In today’s environment, the oil and gas storage has grown in importance and is now pivotal to security of supply as a whole. Deepetro’s partner Rohöl-Aufsuchungs Aktiengesellschaft (RAG Austria) have expertise in using depleted gas reservoirs to store gas, playing a vital role in security of supply. We have the ability to convert up to seven depleted reservoirs as gas storage facilities to a single gas storage facility unit.

The working gas volume of a single reservoir ranges from 85 million cubic meters to 1.6 billion cubic meters. The development and construction could be achieved either as single individual storage facility or as an integration of several underground gas storage facilities to a single gas storage facility unit. A total of about 2.8 billion cubic meters working gas volume, or approximately 1.3 million cubic meters of gas per hour withdrawal rate could be developed.

Using a natural gas reservoir that has existed for millions of years as underground gas storage represents the most efficient, safest and most environmental friendly way of storing energy.

Deepetro along with its partners RAG Austria can provide most innovative bespoke services for oil & gas storage needs across the world, tailor-made not just to fit conventional supplies but also support short term or complex trading & storage transaction.
